# Set up the shipping rates calculator and the cart note

**Free shipping notification** shows a progressive bar with a message when customers put more items in their shopping carts.

1. From your Shopify admin, go to **Online Store** **->** **Themes**.
2. Find the theme that you want to edit, and then click **Customize**.
3. Click **Theme Settings ->** **Cart.**
4. From the **Cart** setting, you select the option **Show free shipping notification** to show/hide calculator free shipping message feature. Click **Save** to confirm your setting.
